4 week agoLet me start by saying I have been coming here since I was a kid. If you live in the area then you already know this place is a Gem. I personally feel they are worth a drive to experience. Yes I drag myself from the other side of Brooklyn to come here and i never regret it! One of the most over looked items on their menu is the family style. It’s a great value and plenty of food comes out. If you go with a group I would suggest asking about it and giving it a try. They have arguably the best egg roll in the game, although my wife’s egg roll had a lil oil at the bottom of it mine was fried crispy and drained. Every meal comes with complimentary crispy noodles w/duck sauce and a side of spicy mustard and a pot of hot tea. The combination platters come with soup, egg roll and pork fried rice. I had the bbq boneless ribs combination platter. Besides the tasty food and generous portions I feel their staff really shines. They are very attentive and accommodating. They want your business and they want you to be satisfied. That’s awesome. If you want some consistently good Chinese food with awesome service please give it a try. They have a full bar! 1 month agoThe place is as good as ever. The food is delicious, prices did go up, but that's everywhere. I travel all the way from the other side of Brooklyn for this, last of its kind for delicious old school American Chinese food. Not many places left for Chinese food where you can sit at a booth.

2 month agoBest place to eat Chinese Food, for small intimate gatherings to large parties. Very accomadating staff and exceptional service. I had the pleasure of consuming Authentic delicious Chinese cuisine with large portions. Cost was very affordable within a Clean comfortable atmosphere. Very Elegant Venue.

3 month agoI have visited before but I went back yesterday after 6 years. I never forgot this place and talk about it fondly. Yesterday, I took a friend out to a bday dinner. I love that they serve tea. They food is still pretty and delicious. The staff are sweet and hospitable. I was even able to park my mobility scooter and sit at the table in a seat. We drank yummy sex on a beach, appetizers platter which many delicious choices. Same for the entree and after another drink. My Pina Colada was even better. Dessert was a simple chocolate ice cream but it was perfect. Ordered a dish to go home and a shrimp roll. Unfortunately, it was a pork roll and Im allergic. Other than that, I will go back again.

4 month agoI’ve dined at China New Star in Brooklyn multiple times and have always been impressed by the quality and consistency of their dishes. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring that there’s something for everyone. The food is fresh and flavorful, with generous portions that provide excellent value for the price. Notably, the spare ribs are outstanding, ranking among the best I’ve had.   Service is attentive and efficient, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. While parking is primarily on the street, I’ve found it manageable during my visits.  Overall, China New Star is a reliable choice for delicious Chinese cuisine in Brooklyn.
